We have an exciting opportunity for a senior stylist & graphic designer! Reporting directly into the Marketing Manager, you will be based in the Christchurch head office, working alongside the owner, buyer and the executive team of a national homeware an gift company.

We're looking for a bright, creative and pragmatic interior stylist, photographer and graphic designer. You might have heard this before, but this is no ordinary gig! You must be capable of producing your own photo shoots as well as working with us to create remarkable product imagery.

There will be a lot of leg work in this role– organising location and studio shoots, figuring out where to shoot, sourcing props, nailing the visual brief and keeping an eye on your budget. Making sure you are self-sufficient and know how to juggle multiple projects is key.

In this role, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Creating online videos, still images, helping to come up with ideas for social campaigns

  • Designing window clings, flatlays, seasonal campaigns, digital assets, look books & gift guides

  • Be the creative lead and photographer

  • Follow a creative brief for each shoot, source props, product following a set brief and within a given budget

  • Account for and organise props and equipment for photography (with assistance of marketing assistant)

  • Execute styling in shoots delivering consistent top quality photos on time and on budget, following a set creative brief and brand style guide

  • Sign-off images with assistance of the owner, marketing manager & buyer

  • Forecast and control budgets for all photo-shoots

If you are the successful candidate, you will bring with you:

  • 2 year experience in a similar stylist or producer role(with an interest in interior styling)

  • Proven creative eye and passion for typography, furniture and interior design

  • Strong Photoshop, InDesign / Adobe CS and Final Cut skills and who is proficient with mid-level filming, editing and audio recording.

  • A highly motivated attitude, be dedicated and organised and have excellent attention to detail

  • The flexibility to travel around New Zealand on short notice

  • The ability to work under pressure, tight budgets and to strict deadlines

  • You’re interested in breaking new ground, focused on results (we’re not fans of micro management).....and you’re a really nice person!
